These filters are for balanced ventilation with heat recovery – known in Belgium as ventilation system D.
What the filter set protects against
This set contains two filters of the same size:
- G4 extract-air filter: Coarse 80%, for filtering dust and coarse particles from extracted indoor air.
- F7 supply-air filter: ePM1 70%, for reducing fine particles, pollen and mould spores in incoming outdoor air.
G4 and F7 are the former EN 779 classes. These filters remove particulate pollution; they do not remove gases or odours.
Use and maintenance
Switch off the ventilation unit before replacing the filters. Fit the G4 filter on the extract side and the F7 filter on the supply side, following the marked airflow direction. Ensure both filters sit securely in their holders.
Inspect regularly and follow the unit's maintenance instructions and filter-change indicator. As a general guide, replace every 3-6 months; service life depends on local air quality, weather, dust exposure and usage intensity. Do not wash, vacuum or clean these disposable filters with compressed air.
Manufacturing quality
Our house-brand filters are manufactured in the European Union by AORA, a reputable and well-known filter manufacturer. The G4 panel filter uses Z-line pleated media in a cardboard frame. The F7 compact filter uses densely pleated Minipleat media in a cardboard frame. Stable pleats and correctly sized frames support consistent airflow and a secure fit.
